I have a large collection of Getty images of Old HK but I have hesitated posting them here as Getty Images are notoriously litigious. They do offer an option to embed from their website, that may be something  David can put on Gwulo, similar to how Flickr photos are imported

I understand.  I was not aware of that situation. I thought as long as the real author was credited, it would not be a problem. I do not mind taking it down if you all think it is neccessary.

"Embed" is the way to go with images from Getty.

Unfortunately that means we can't use the "Places shown..." etc, so I suggest picking a relevant page on Gwulo and embedding the image in a comment on that page. As an example, here's the embed equivalent for this image:

http://gwulo.com/comment/38810#comment-38810

The sequence is:

  1. Copy the embed code from the Getty website
  2. In the editor on Gwulo click the "Source" button top left
  3. Paste in the embed code
  4. In the editor on Gwulo click the "Source" button again

​It will just show a line "Embed from Getty Images" without any photo, but when you save the comment, the photo will be shown correctly.
