Anna May WATERS [1903-1987]

Anna May Waters arrived in Hong Kong on November 16, 1941, as one of two military nurses accompanying the Canadian soldiers of 'C' Force.
During the hostilities and the first part of the occupation she served at Bowen Road Miitary Hospital. She was sent to Stanley Camp alongside other nursing staff on August 19, 1942.
She was part of the Canadian repatriation of September 1943, returning to her home city of Winnipeg. Between September 1944 and August 1946 she served, at first in war theatres, on the TSS Letitia.
She spent the last part of her life in Long Beach, California.

In September 1945 Anna May Waters returned to Hong Kong on the hospital ship Letitia, which had been set up to repatriate Canadian soldiers.
