I see her name on Stanley list is Edith Frances, though I'd thought it was 'Sybil', although I didn't know her very well. If I have the right person, her husband was a vet, I think he must have functioned at the Jockey Clubn, maybe she helped him as she took our puppies to dispose of them. She was in Stanley.
She is the same Mrs Hogg who had nursed at the Bowen Road Military Hospital during the fighting, although she appears to have come to Stanley in Jan. 1942 rather than summer 1942 when the other Bowen Road nurses came in.
Very early on in camp, before my sister Mabel came from Bowen Road , Mrs Hogg told my mother that Mabel's reason was only saved during the air raids because her boyfriend Sid Hale was with her (as a patient with wounds).
