WW2 RAF fighter pilot Douglas Bader visiting 28 Squadron at RAF Sek Kong.
Bader had both legs amputated after a flying accident in 1931.
His remarkable life story was told in a well-received book and film titled ‘Reach for the Sky’.
When this photograph was taken he would have been working for Shell Oil.
He continued flying after the war using Shell’s corporate aircraft.
