My parents were living at 1 Ventris Road when I was born in Queen Mary Hospital in February 1940.
After WWII we returned to live at 12 Ventris Road.
I can remember the day that thh whole family congregated with our House Boys and Amahs on the balcony of No.12 to watch the Japanese War Memorial being blown up with TNT/Dynamite in either late '46 or early '47.
