Looks like an Humber Heavy Utility Wagon as used by the British Army...

Any idea of the location?

Noted the seller of the photograph had indicated 1945 as the year of the accident.

I am also curious as to the location but more surprised how the car ended up on the roof. The gap between the roof and road must be at least 20ft, so the car must have really been speeding.

Greetings.   This car is heavy.  For it to fly jump onto the roof it would need very high speed and sudden rising road angle/slope.  The damage on the ground shows from which direction the car came from and fortunately, it did not flip while in the air.  He must have made a very sharp turn coming downhill fast.  Or, there was another road from the top right of the photo which would explain why the car stayed up right.

If that was not road damage, did he come from the left side of the photo and tried to make a U-turn?    Regards, Peter

Unlikely to be trying a U turn due to the materials under the car? Seems more likely came at speed or lost brakes and tried to do the sharp right hand turn. Does the sign not say "No Entry"?

Could the location be around Barker, Severn Road area?

It may be an idea to post this photo on one of the HK Facebook groups and see if anyone can guess the location.

I think it is the junction of Conduit Road and Horsney Road. The vehicle has landed on the roof of a building on Robinson Road. Perhaps coming downhill at speed from Admiralty House (Marble/Chater Hall).
