Yes, Sheung Shui
Susan - this is Fu Hing St in SHeung Shui and if you take a look at this view in googlemaps, you will find that those buildings look almost exactly the same today.

Sheung Shui, 1974
Thanks so much! It does look almost the same, except for the clusters of high rises. Amazing! I suppose my grandparents went up there to look around and to get close to China, since Americans couldn't go into China legally back in 1974.

OMG, this photo bring back my childhood memories, tear in my eyes, it was just like yesterday. Football ground on the righthand side, old library should be on the left handside.

Not sure I'm afraid. I recalled walking to school via the farm and recalled there were a cesspit (yes cesspit) which yu can easily fall into :)
I do have a old photo of the whole school though. Let me try ro look for it.
