Carol Bateman - my mother!

I attended Carol Bateman's School of Dancing in the 1960s. Established on the Garden floor of the Helena May in 1948 it is still there and still going strong. 

The Producer, James Norman, was my father, who had been Superintendent of Stanley Prison and found himself imprisoned there. This production was one of the few things he would talk about with great pleasure, regarding his experience in Stanley Internment Camp. He also played Theseus ("a lay figure which would not expose my lack of acting ability") and they clearly had a fairly hilarious time of it.
