I'm afraid I don't know where this was taken, but most likely Kowloon. Could someone please read the shop sign? The lady is my grandmother, Kathe de Chaffoy de Courcelles.

According to the signage it was a timepiece repair and retail business. The main store sign above the business also indicated it also repair gramophones.
