DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mrs Fowlie's occupation in 1941 as "Housewife".

Mary Jane Fowlie is listed on page J199 of the Civil Establishments of Hongkong, for the Year 1932. It says she was working as a teacher ("Mistress") at Queen's College, first appointed on 27th April, 1931. She's still shown as working at the same job on page J17 of the 1939 Blue Book.
