Not sure if the following refers to the same George Green
29 August 1906 Application to move from 21 Pottinger Street under the sign Criterion to 98-100 Queens Road Central was opposed by merchants in the neighborhood. Pottinger Street at one time had been a respectable street.

I think the first two mentions are for a different man. I found another mention of this page's George Green on p.181 of Arnholds-China Trader, where Michael Green describes his family's roots in Hong Kong:
For both our company and for our family, Hong Kong has been home since the late 1800s. My grandparents [George & Kitty Green] arrived as refugees from Romania, speaking little English and no Chinese, and bought a small hotel on the waterfront. It catered mostly to merchant seamen, and most of the profits came from the bar downstairs - where I was told my grandfather was his own best customer!
