Note: the date construction is incorrect, its probably from the date of construction of the walled city i.e. 1847.

I think the photo above shows the main Kowloon Walled City (https://gwulo.com/node/11102) rather than the smaller battery. The building above is larger than the one in the photo of the battery:

The photo is more likely from the Walled City than from the fort. I was mislead by the caption on Flickr. It looks like the Walled City due to the battlements on the photo that are visible on similar ones. I'll amend the place and delete "built in 1810".

I found a copy of this photo in the book City of Darkness. It's one of a pair of photos that the author dates to 1906.
