Big photo by Mee Cheung of what seems to be the governor or a member of the royal family (the mam in the whote uniform in the front car has greay hair and the car carries a crown). Not dated but must be from the early twenties as my grandfather Pieter Marks (who brought this picture back home to the Netherlands) was stationed in Hong Kong twice, the second time from approx. 1923 until 1927.

On 24 March 1920 the Dutch Navy ships  HNMS Marten Harpertszoon Tromp and HNMS Hertog Hendrik arrived in Hong Kong under the flag of Commodore Bentz van den Berg. The original photo shows the official landing of the Commodore at Blake Pier. The port visit can be read here
