It is interesting to note that when the docks were completed in 1875, the area was close to the border of British Kowloon (Boundary Street) and Chinese territory.
The Docks, of which there are three distinct establishments all belonging to the Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Co., Ld. Are situated respectively at Hunghain Kowloon Bay, known as the Kowloon Docks ; at Samsuipo on the West of the Kowloon Peninsula known as the Cosmopolitan Docks ; and also at Aberdeen on the southern side of the Island of Hongkong, known as the Aberdeen Docks. To those interested in Shipbuilding and Engineering-work on an extensive scale, a visit to any of these establishments can be arranged through the courtesy ofthe Company's Manager and Secretary.

Walked by the area earlier tonight and noticed there are some new plates for K.M.L. 28 in Li Tak Street. The plates started at the corner where Li Tak Street meets Tai Kok Tsui Road, running along till it meets an alley by the end of the Square Mile shopping mall.
This is a very big lot despite already been sub-divided, forming quite a few streets.
The extra numbers are likely the street numbers. However I am stumped about that #85 as the corner of Li Tak Street and Tai Kok Tsui Road should be #83 Tai Kok Tsui Road.
