Wilfred "Willie" Alexander Reed married Anna Joaquina Maria D'Almada E Castro on August 21, 1939 at Rosary Church in Kowloon. They had one daughter, Angela, who was born in Macau after Willie and Belle (as she was known) left Hong Kong with his mother Maria Rita, Arthur's wife Marie and her daughter Mary, to wait out the war. The couple spent their honeymoon at the Repulse Bay Hotel in Hong Kong.
