They are both recorded as being there but no birth or death dates are recorded

Thanks for checking, yes I've been unable to get any birth or death records, I however chanced upon his son Mahomed Jose (5G Grand Uncle) who had married a local named Maria Lam and even managed to find a picture of his tomb stone on findagrave. 

Its amazing what the interweb has and God Bless Carl Smith for keeping such records
