Re: The City Boundary-Lung Fu Shan- Hill Above Belcher's
Amazing find! Thanks to Kalvin and your group. I look forward to more information.
I wonder if more City of Victoria boundary stones remain undiscovered. I vaguely remember Mr. Walter Chu (朱維德) mentioned in one of his books that there used to be one on Causeway Road which was the shoreline in the 1950s. It would have been long gone.
Great Find
Saw an exhibition of the City of Victoria and its boundary stones in the Museum of History today. Hope for a positive outcome when dealing with the AMO.
Its an interesting find as noted previously here, there are large gaps in the 700 foot contour between the known Stones.
Re: City Boundary stone at Lung Fu Shan
Hi There,
Let's hope this one would not disappear like the one on Magazine Gap Road. That one seemed to be on the same countour line too.

Great find! Very well done
Great find! Very well done
we find the city boundary on 1:2400 Map 1969
Great news!
Congratulations to all involved.
James, I've made a Place for it under your name: https://gwulo.com/node/56847 Please could you adjust the marker to the correct location.
Re: Two more stones found
Hi There,
It's in the news. Another team found two stones on the same day.
The one close to the Rosary Hill School had been put onto the Internet since 2007 after the Magazine Gap stone disappeared. The other one is on Mount Davis.
The older maps could be found in HKMS 2.0. I tried the 1:2400 set (1954-1974) and most of the ones dated 1960's show the city boundary alright. The logic of the finds was that there might be a marker where the former city boundary had a sharp turn along the contour.

Two more City of Victoria boundary stones discovered!
It is even more amazing that two more City of Victoria boundary stones were discovered by members of the Hong Kong History Study Circle (香港歷史研究社) yesterday (Sunday, 12 Dec. 2021)! The 9th is near the Rosaryhill School on Stubbs Road, and the 10th is on the slipe of Mount Davis.
