The liner in the photo is the M.V. KUNGSHOLM visiting HK on its first round the world cruise in 1955.
Twenty eight years later in July 1983, the KUNGSHOLM now sailing as Costa Cruises’s COLUMBUS C is seen berthed at Ocean Terminal Kowloon. In 1984, following a serious collision with the breakwater at Cadiz Spain the liner was salvaged and scrapped in 1985.
