Peggy is one of the 6 Barton girls in Stanley, the others were Marie (the eldest), Audrey, Wendy, Jacqueline and Rosemary; 5 of their brothers were also in camp - Alec, Terence, Leo, John and Daniel; the eldest brother Bernard was HKVDC and in Shamshuipo.  Their Dad was English, their Mum Portuguese and a brilliant classical pianist.

Does anyone know if there are any members of the Barton Family still in Hong Kong

I do occassionally see Pam Barton at the Remembrance Day Ceremony in Central in November.

After Alec passed away in the early 1960's, his remaining family Mary and five children moved to the UK.  His five children & families all live in various places in the UK.

I am interested to know if there are any Bartons still in Hong Kong as I have discovered my Great Grandfather is a step brother to their Great Grandfather. My Great Great Grandfather was Sephania Barton who lived and worked in Hong Kong. His first wife died there and when he remarried there was another son and his family stayed in Hong Kong. My great Grandfather moved to Canada and all of his family reside there in the Ottawa area. I found most of this out on my heritage.com and I believe the Bartons in Hong Kong know nothing about the Bartons in Canada. My grandmother Cora Barton (married name Sabourin) would have been a cousin to Lancelot Barton.

Miss Pamela Barton is not related to the Stanley Bartons.
