His daughter Janet has posted a photo of him presenting the "Rediffusion Television Jigsaw" program in the 1960s:

A list of Canadians in Stanley who did not wish to take part in a future repatriation was drawn up in August 1942 I.e. soon after the American repatriation. There are nine Catholic sisters on it, Bishop O'Gara, who was already in free China, and there members of the Large family:

Large, M. H., 60, Traffic Inspector

Mrs.P.L., housewife

Large, C.T., 20, Civil Servant

This suggests that the romantic attachment that kept Clifton in Stanley - and through him his parents - was strong even at this early stage!

Also on the list are Mrs. H. J. Oppen, who had changed her mind by September 1943 and Miss G. E. Collard, who also changed her mind - http://gwulo.com/node/11808
