- 1887: Initial Armament:2 x 9" RML 12 ton guns on Sliding Carriages. (WO 78/5357).
- 1889: 2 x 9" RML guns. (CAB 11/57).
- 1890: QF gun Casemate commenced construction in September, estimated cost £285. (WO 78/5357).
- 1892: QF gun Casemate construction completed in March, actual cost £301.0.10 (WO 78/5357).
- 1892: Initial Armament: 2 x 6 pdr QF Hotchkiss guns. (WO 78/5357).
Note: This Casemate is sometimes referred to as Lye Mun Pass Bty, however this is a generic term used at that time to cover any Lye Mun Bty facing the Lye Mun Pass itself e.g. Lye Mun Pass - West Bty. (CAB 11/58). In all Armament Lists, from 1894 to 1907 inclusive, these 2 x 6 pdr QF guns are listed as part of the armament of West Bty.

- 1897: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns. (CAB 11/57).
- 1900: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns. (CAB 11/57).
- 1901: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns. (CAB 11/57).
- 1903: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns. (CAB 11/57).
- 1904: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns mounted, only 6 pdr QF approved. (CAB 11/57).
- 1905: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns mounted, only 6 pdr QF approved. (CAB 11/57).
- 1906: 2 x 9" RML guns, 2 x 6 pdr QF guns mounted, only 6 pdr QF approved. (CAB 11/57).
- 1907: 2 x 6 pdr QF mounted, to be reduced. (CAB 11/57).

- 1941: 2 x 4.7" QF guns removed to Belchers Lower Bty. (WO 106/2394).
- 2000: Battery area became part of the Museum of Coastal Defence. The QF Casemate and one 9" RML gunpit, along with the magazine, renovated for display.
