  • 1935: Mentioned in 1935 Defence Plan.  (ADM 116/3490).
  • 1936: Armament: 2 x 4" BL Naval guns.  (CAB 11/196).
  • 1936: 2 x 4" BL Naval guns.  (ADM 116/4390).
  • 1937: Emplacements for Improvised Bty: This is already built so we can now get the Port Shelter Improvised Bty into action in about 24 hours.  (WO 106/2380).
  • 1938: Used in a Combined Operations Exercise in March.  (WO 196/9).
  • 1938: 2 x 4" gun battery at Port Shelter.  (WO 106/2380).
  • 1939: 2 x 4" guns previously allocated to Port Shelter, and no longer required there.  (WO 106/2394).
  • 1956: Area apparently cleared.  (HK Lands Dept. Aerial Photograph).
  • 2014: Site completely levelled.
