Alasdair Duncan Atholl MacGregror was the Chief Justice of Hong Kong from 1933 to 1945.  He was interned in the Stanley camp where he continued to conduct court cases including granting divorces.  He survived the war but contracted beriberi in the camp.  He was evacuated soon after the war but died on board ship before reaching England.  For more details see his Wikipedia entry:
