Lieut. George Reginald Cole, R.N., a colleague of my father, whose wife and son had been evacuated to Australia.  When we Redwoods had to leave our Dockyard flat after my Dad died, Mr Cole had us to live with him until we found a private flat.

He was killed at Aberdeen on 16 Dec.
