My grandfather Arthur Desmond Stutchbury (known as Desmond) was interned there from around 1942 until the end of the war, and I believe he met his wife Norah Evelyn Stutchbury (nee Witchell) whilst there, and they were married shortly after the war. Norah was killed in 1950 by terrorists in the Pahang jungle. My grandfather passed away peacefully this spring in England at the age of 92, and since his death I have been very interested in discovering as much as I can about his time at Stanley Camp. I am especially interested in anyone who may have had a relative at Stanley who may have known him or Norah.

Norah Stutchbury nee Witchell
Norah is my father's first cousin and my grandfather was interned with her family at Stanley Camp. I have been researching their moves from the time of the war breaking out and would love to share this with Norah's grand daughter.
