According to the 1925 PWD Annual Report, the SCMP building was in the course of erection and portion of the building had already been occupied.

Was replaced by the South China Building which opened in 1973.

The SCMP moved to Tong Chong Street, Quarry Bay in April 1971. From typesetting to modern technology.
