Was reading an old Police Magazine that mentioned the rains and flooding in 1957 that continued unabated from 20 till 31 May. Nathan Road was heavily flooded.

According to 1957 年香港年鑑, there was a motel called "peace motel" (和平旅店) at 343 Nathan road.

The horizontal sign of the motel can be seen on the left (with first character blocked off by another vertical sign).
