Built in the 1930s, first owned by Stafford Smith (worked in British American Tobacco company), it was bought over by the Mardens' family (former chairman of Wheelock Marden) in late 1950s, with slight alteration of the house and redesign the garden. The Marden family moved in at 1959 and have been living there since. 

02:10 of the video shows a brief view of the exterior of the house.
