Hi, I am working on a project looking at Eurasians within the British administration in Hong Kong before WW2 (except those in LegCo and ExeCo). If anyone can suggest any names please let me know, thanks very much!
Many thanks,
Caleb

re: Eurasian working for British government in Hong Kong before
Hi Caleb,
Sorry I don't know the answer for that. When you say "within the British administration", what would you set as the boundaries for that? eg would it stretch as far as men fighting with the Hong Kong Volunteers, or women in the nursing services?
Regards, David
Thanks for your reply David.
Thanks for your reply David. I am looking for mostly people working for one of the formal government departments (e.g. department of Harbour, etc). Many thanks,
Caleb
Eurasians in Government pre-WW2
The Blue Book for 1940 (see http://gwulo.com/hong-kong-blue-books) would list the people in the government departments at that time. You'd need to be able to spot Eurasian families' surnames, but maybe that will help?

Thanks for your information
Thanks for your information David - will pay a visit to the National Archive someday. Best wishes,
Caleb
