She was Eurasian and was in HK during the occupation (she, like the vast majority of Eurasians, was not interned).
She was related to 4871 Pte Leslie A. Fox of No.3 Company HKVDC. He evaded capture and joined the BAAG’s China Unit and eventually the Chindits. Unfortunately, I cannot now recall if she was his sister or aunt.

I am grateful to Astrid for pointing out that Kitty Fox was her father’s aunt. Her father, Leslie Fox, was of course a prominent member of the Eurasian community in Hong Kong, and I knew him as a lieutenant in the Hong Kong Regiment in the ‘50s.
