Not to be confused with his father of the same name.

Alfred Ernest Ablong was in the Volunteers andd he appears on a Colonial Office list of POWs in Shamshuipo as Ablong A. E. Jnr., HKVDC Corporal 2468.

At some point after the war he migrated to the USA and died in Glendale California.

Alfred Ernest Ablong (Jnr) Corporal Lewis Gun Platoon No.6 Company HKVDF.  Initially interned as Prisoner of War at Shum Shi Po POW Camp then shipped on Japanese vessel XD 5 (ss Toyama Maru) on 15 December 1944. On arrival sent to Osaka 1l B POW Camp to work in coal mines until end of war. Repatriated to Canada at end of hostilities.

Married Millicent Xavier in HK. Date not known.

He emigrated to US.

He died in 1992.
