Michael KOODIAROFF (aka Mike) [????- ]

My grandmother, Mrs Anna Nozadze, taught young Michael Koodiaroff the piano after the war.

This photo was taken after my grandmother's pupils' concert at the Peninsula Hotel in 1951 and shows Mike and a few other white Russian children.

Balia was my grandmother, Anna Nozadze.  In Russian, one calls the grandmother "Baba" followed by their first name.  When I was small, I couldn't say Baba Anya - it came out as Balia, and all family members and close friends called her by that 

Nina Smirnoff was the mother of the three Smirnoff children shown here.
