Hi,

I've been hired, after David's introduction, to be the historical consultant on the history of the Peak for an exhibition.

Would any of you in Hong Kong be willing to loan your photos or any artifacts ? 

hfsiu, I especailly know that you have a lovely collection of photos and wonder if you would be willing to lend them out ?

The exhibit designers will decide what they want to exhibit, but they are hoping  for original items .  The plan is to show 5 different areas of the Peak

  • Top of the Peak (Mountain Lodge and the Eyrie)
  • Victoria Gap (Peak Tram, Peak Hotel, Mount Austin Hotel/Barrcks)
  • RBL 1 - Top of Mt. Gough
  • Peak Police Station - Mt. Gough Hill
  • Mt. Kellett (Ho Tung Property, Homestead and Matilda Hospital)

and some stories about the people and houses for each area.  I am also planning a section on sedan chairs and Chinese employed on the Peak.
