The coastal pillboxes were numbered anti-clockwise around HK island, from 1 to 72, so this was the one with the highest number.
The map is not very clear, so the location is only an estimate. If it is still there, it should be visible from the ferry to Lamma - I'll take a look next time I head out that way.

Concrete steps leading down to location near Pillbox 072
Hi there,
As far as I could recall, last time I was walking along Victoria Road I recognized there is a flight of concrete steps leading down to a Pavilion and a soft of picnic area. The Pavilion is called 落日觀瀾亭 in Chinese. Something like Sunset & Waves Pavilion if you must translate it. I believe Pillbox 072 is very close to this Pavilion.

Pillbox 72
Hi T,
Great timing! I went out for a walk on Monday afternoon to try and track down this pillbox, and I started from the steps that you mention.
I'm still writing up the results and getting the photos ready, but it should go up later this week.
