Rosemary Joyce Jarvis (nee Peveril-Guest). Daughter of Albert Edward (Bertie) Peveril-Guest and Edith May Peveril-Guest (Nee Fincher).

Born 20 August 1932. Home birth at 4 Embankment Rd, Kowloon Tong.

Repatriated to hostel for 'displaced' people in Lithgow, Australia after WW II. Peveril-Guest Family came from Hong Kong to Australia on HMS 'Striker' (aircraft carrier) with her family.

Joyce was surprised at how primitive Australia was - "...they even had timber light posts!"
