Bushy Cottage
The earliest mentions of "Bushy Cottage" that I can find (without checking the PRO) are from 1887 (Peak Directory, Ladies Directory). Its name appears again in 1888 & 9 (Peak Directory) and most recently in 1890 (Peak Directory & Ladies Directory).
From 1898 the new name of the building on the site, "Red Hill" (or "Redhill") starts to appear (Peak Directory, Jury List). The 1909 Peak Map shows only one building on the site, labelled Red Hill No. 1 & 2.
From the above facts it appears that Bushy Cottage was built sometime before 1887 and either renamed, or demolished and rebuilt, as Red Hill between 1890-98.
