Recommended for a decoration in recognition of his unfailing devotion to duty in the face of danger. After carrying out his task on the Mainland, he continued to show the same courage and resource on the Island. His readiness to go forward of our lines to contact elements of doubtful position set an example to the rest of the D/Rs. His courage and dependability has been highly praised by all officers under whom he served, including Lt.Col Field, R.A.

The well-known jockey W.G. Poy, appeared before Mr. W. Schofield summoned for parking his car for a period exceeding the time limit in Pedder Street. His Worship imposed a fine of $3.”
