His wedding was reported on page 1 of The Hong Kong Telegraph, 1926-01-21:

KOWLOON WEDDING.

MR. A. J. KEW—MISS B. R. ABLONG.

A wedding of considerable interest took place this afternoon at St. Andrew's Church, Kowloon, the contracting parties being Mr. Arthur James Kew, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. W. Kew, and Miss Beatrice Rose Ablong, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Ablong. The Rev, G. R. Lindsay was the officiating clergyman.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. A. E. Ablong, was attired in a gown of charmeuse with shadow lace, and she carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and white roses. Accompanying her were Miss Violet Kew (sister of the bridegroom) as bridesmaid and Misses Nora Kew (sister of the bridegroom) and Patsy Ablong (niece of the bride) as flower girls. The bridesmaid wore a dress of mauve taffeta, with hat to match and carried a bouquet of pink roses, whilst the flower girls were attired in dresses of blue and pink taffeta, with hats to match, and they both carried baskets of sweet peas.

Mr. W. M. Gittens discharged the duties of “best man.”

After the ceremony, a reception was held at No. 388 ((number indistinct)) Nathan Road, at which the usual toasts were honoured.

The honeymoon is to be spent in Shanghai the happy couple leaving by the Empress of Canada. The bride's going-away dress will be of grey-crepe de chine with Oriental trimmings.
