DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Stone's occupation in 1941 as "Harbour Office".
He's listed on page J30 of the 1939 Blue Book, working as an accountant in the Harbour Office. It shows him appointed to that job on 2nd Feb, 1935, and the date of his first appointment in the Civil Service as 1st Feb, 1922.
