D J Glendinning,deceased,was the son of Police Sergeant Thomas G. shot dead by Police Constable Teja Singh on the 17.7.1918 at Tai O Police Station.Singh also shot at Mrs G and son (D.J) but missed.He later shot himself.At the Inquest the Indian Police of Tai O were severely criticised and the Coroner recommended the extension of the telephone system to all rural Police Stations.See Watson (HKP 1st 100 years) Page 110.
