I believe this house was sold in 1989 or 1990 (at the latest), which would make sense given the April 1993 occupation permit issue date for the redeveloped townhouses.

Standard Chartered began selling its property holdings on a global scale in 1989, although its Hong Kong headquarters building was not sold until 1992.  It sold an office tower in Singapore and even its global headquarters in London in '89.
