John Black's list gives Miss Woolley's occupation in 1941 as "Stenographer".

He full name was Evelyn (known as "Eve")  Stokes Woolley. Her date of birth was 8th Aug 1903. She was a stenographer. Her sister (Phyllis Rainey) also a stenographer was also in Camp likewise their mother Louisa Clara Woolley. They were all in different billets (Block 18 Room 20, Block 2  Room 10 and Block 13 Room 66 respectively). 

Miss ES Woolley was witness at wedding in Aug 1945 in camp of Eric Gordon Knowles Humphrey and Sheila E. M. Bruce (also a stenographer). John Stericker acknowledges her help in taking dication for his manuscript on Stanley after the war by which time she is married and he  describes her now as Mrs Bruce.

Miss Woolley also had a brother Sgt. William Woolley (HKVDC) who died in SSP Camp in 1944.
