Sham Shui Po, Jubilee Buidings

The two photos of Jubilee Buildings are self explanatory, but were they the site of an internment camp during the Japanese occupation?

Hi Richard, I'm not sure the exact boundary of the old Sham Shui Po Barracks / POW camp, can anyone else confirm?

I see there's no image showing here - let me know if you're still having any problems uploading, so we can help you get past them.

Regards, MrB

Hi there,

I believe the former Sham Shui Po Barracks was roughly between Yan Cha Street and Fat Tseung Street, and from Cheung Sha Wan Road to the water  front.

Hi there,

Just like to refresh our memory.  A cache of WWII bombs was discovered back in 2006 in Tonkin Street in Cheong Sha Wan.   The location was well within the lots between Yan Chau Street and Fat Tseung Street.

Best Regards,

Hi there,

Just tried typing Sham Sui Po Barracks in Google and found this site.  It contains a bit more information about it's location, and what's left of it today.

Best Regards,
