The Jurors list seems to show the address of my grandfathers workplace in Stanley, was this normal for the time? I understand that the family resided on the peak which is where they were on the first day of occupation.
The Jurors list shows his address in 1941 as "2 Chatham Road, Kowloon".
Sometimes the address in the jurors list shows the person's residence, sometimes it shows their place of work. I guess that 2 Chatham Road was the address of the office of his employer Java-China-Japan Lijn, N.V., possibly in Holt's Wharf.
Hopefully some of their pre-war photos will show us where they lived.
