Volunteer slopes was a collection of Nissen and Quonset huts condemned by the army after the war and taken over by the HK Government and given to the HK Police. It became the home of the Police Training Contingent (PTC) which was renamed the Police Tactical Unit after 1968. All the old huts have now been replaced with modern buildings. I myself served there in 1968 and 1984 in the old buildings.
