Taken from today's Mount Austin Road (formerly called Peak Road). The smoke is from the upper terminus of the peak tram. The four coolies seem to carry a barrel or something like that.

Similar view to this photo but taken further up the slope from the Upper Peak Tram Terminus on today's Mount Austin Road (formerly called Peak Road). Perhaps a barrel of whiskey ?
