Notes from the AMO:
Rawlinson House was built in the early 20th century as married quarters for officers serving in Victoria Barracks and was turned into the residence of the Deputy Commander of British Forces in 1961. The barracks were demolished in the 1980s and the site was redeveloped into Hong Kong Park. Rawlinson House has been used as a marriage registry since 1981.
