Major in the Royal Scots.  Second in command during the Battle of HK.  He killed himself with his service revolver. He seemed to be a slightly incapable, jumpy officer from Phil's info here.

In Tony Banham's book "Not the Slightest Chance..." he notes Major Burn committed suicide on 14th Dec (page 77) and explains why the wartime rumour that "Burn had been shot by his own men" wasn't possible (note 26 on page 351).
