DoB from John Black's list, which gives Mr Taylor's occupation as "Green Island Cement Manager". (That list shows Mr Taylor's initials as "R L", but that's a mistake as he didn't have a middle name.)

He's mentioned in the 1941 Jurors List:

c   Taylor, Robert Works Manager, Green Island Cement Co. Ld. Cement Works, Hok Un, Kowloon.

Jane Taylor writes:

Quite recently, I discovered that he's mentioned briefly in George Wright-Nooth's 'Prisoner of the Turnip Heads'.  He shared quarters in Bungalow C with his colleague and friend, Sid Bishop, who was killed in the raid in January 1945.
