Norwegian ships agent and retired ships captain.
Due to age, being above 60, Sareussen was not sent to Stanley internment camp with the other Norwegians in February 1943.
From semi-liberty, he provided news and assistance to Norwegian internees at Stanley Civilian Internment Camp and at Sham Shui Po Prisoner of War camp from his office in Queens Building. Had a hidden radio and frequently shared news from BBC broadcasts.
Through his many connections, among them Persian business man Nemazee and Ruth Yvonne Gundersen, he organized financial transactions and aid to the Norwegians.
